Let's start over......
Yes -- I was staying right at I-30 & University. Ended up going 45 because I felt like having lunch at Sam's in Fairfield. Traffic was light all the way -- easy driving! Every time I go 35 to 6 I tell myself I have to go that way more often since it's such a nice drive through the country on 6.....

As soon as I got home I put the Cavalier up on the ramps and drained the oil -- I'll let it drip all night and then finish the filter in the morning. It's so much easier doing the filter on that car when the engine is at room temperature since you have to snake your hands and arms through the various engine components just to reach the dang thing!

How often do you change oil and what oil do you run?

That's the one thing I absolutely HATE about my house -- no midday shade of any kind so I have to either wash my cars early in the morning or later in the evening.......
I was able to do the cavalier around 11 yesterday morning and its small enough I can pull it in the garage, close the door and turn on a window ac unit to keep it some what comfortable.
No way I can do that with the truck.
Gave the Cavalier a good wash tonight -- between the last year of hard use and a hail storm this past April, the body is now at the point where I feel better about using it as a true daily grinder. When I picked it up last June, the body was in such incredible condition that I really felt bad about using it the way I was and leaving it parked outside to boot. However, the reality is that the real value of the car is as a reliable everyday runner that will keep the wear, tear and miles off my other vehicles for the next 5 - 10 years!
