7.3 Diesel Life Expectancy

I need to get a used long bed truck and I was wondering how long a 7.3 will run if it has been taken care of? Some of the hills here are a little steep and it takes some extra HP to get up them. I'm not sure how long a V-10 runs either. I see a few trucks that look good but the mileage is pushing 300K.
A rebuild for a 7.3 runs around $7,000. I'll probably never put 100K on it.
I'm thinking one with 200K or less might be my best bet.

7.3 are very solid. Well newer Turbo versions are. Meaning 1998+

If it's been maintained the sky is the limit, they can run forever
