2014 F250 or F350?

Getting ready to pull the trigger and notice the F350 dually is nearly the same price as an equivalent F250 SRW- both 6.7 diesel... only a grand more. What are the negatives of going with a F350 for nearly the same price?

I tow a 21' bassboat 2-3 times a week and also have a 35' pull-behind camper which we use several times a month. This vehicle will also be my daily driver; 30 mile roundtrip. I appreciate any input on the differences or reasons to chose one over the other.

Having had two duallies associated with my Dad's business, my experience is that they ride and drive like crap when empty, especially on snow and ice. Put half a ton of weight in the rear and they ride like a normal truck. For no more than you are pulling, F250 would be my choice.

I loved my Dually. It is much more stable when towing.

Thanks! That's exactly why I asked the question- things like this I never even considered. I would think gas mileage would be worse in the F350 dually too.

Agreed. I think your situation is better suited for the F-250.

F250 will have higher gear ratio for better MPG, but won't pull as good as f350 with lower ratio.

I ended up buying the 2014 F-250 6.7 diesel and couldn't be happier. Tows the boat like its not even back there. Thanks for the replies.

The 250 is better for a daily driver. My daughter and son in law have a '12 F-250 that rides almost as smooth as my 150 and the 6.7 is amazingly quiet. They have about 35K miles on it now. How about some pics of your new ride and congrat's!
