Will it work?

I've got a 2005 Ford F-350 with the basic AM/FM radio..if I got a radio that came with the same year of truck but with a CD player in it, would it be a direct swap? or would I need a wiring harness to run the CD player?

It would work, but why? Go aftermarket. The sound will be much better.

i got a stock 6 disc that's brand new if your interested. bought a truck and drove it straight from the dealer to a audio shop for navigation install. came out of a 2008 f150, i'm using an 07 f150 cd player in my 05 f250. you just need to modify the bracket, takes about 20 minutes.

After getting one 100 dollar head unit with HD radio, I've gotten three more. Heck of a lot nicer listening to free commercial free stations.
