Sweet! I ordered the steel. I think poly was a couple hundred more. I did get smartlocks though. I have a few lots to do myself, on our own properties otherwise I am at the mercy of being called back every year for subcontracting. Are you in landscaping or just plowing? You salt too? I have a swing-away that I have to mount. I keep on telling myself I should put out some mailers to try to gain my own accounts in case they don't have work for me.

I traded in my 08' F250 Reg cab along with the Blizzard Speedwing that came with it. That VXT plow looks sweet. The only drawback I heard was no trip in scoop mode. Carefull.

Where do you live? I see trucks of those leaving where I live everyday.

Yeah, as for the no trip in scoop mode, the guys I know that run them say they set up the rams with enough give that if you hit something hard it just opens the dump and the side will just swing out. Even when in V mode the dealer said to go to full lock, then back off a couple inches to give the ram room to move back if it needs to.

And Im not a landscaper, Im a general contractor and specialize in cement and masonry along with building and maintaining commercial kitchens.

We also own a lot of commercial property so 75% of my plow use is for our lots. The other 25% is for people I know. For a couple years I plowed for customers and did not like the aggravation. I kept the few good ones I had and cut the rest loose.

Don't need those here in Tennessee. If we do happen to get one snowfall a year, it usually melts within 24 hours. My buddy from Minnesota says he could never move back.

lol snow in East Ky is about 1/2 deep at most, and even that makes people freak out.

School gets called off here for a dusting of snow on the roads. Most of the time the highway trucks are just plowing blacktop with sparks flying.

I could of used one last year in pigeon forge, TN. The truck that was suppose to keep the roads clean for the cabins broke down so we were driving in about 4inc of snow and ice going up into the MNTs... Was not fun at all, I remember there was one road we had to go up and I had the truck in 4x4 high since low was giving to much tire spin and the road was to steep and the truck sled back about 40 feet before we caught snow and not ice. The wife was freaking out. Luckly I got the truck turned around and we found a better way up.

I like the fact that you can barely notice the plow brackets on this mount. And, they kept the spoiler on.

They did take these off. Don't know what thier fucntion was.

I think those hung behind the spoiler to help keep you from running over a small car in a accident.

I'll be putting front air bags in the truck next week to help offset the sagging from this hefty plow.

My 08' F250 didn't seem like it sagged at all with my 800-900 lb SW. I only bottomed the springs out rarely. What does an air bag do?

The bags go inside the coil and then you can fill them with air to limit how much travel the spring has. It will keep the truck from sagging, but since its air, it will still absorb the shock. Its no different then the rear load bags people run to keep from sagging with a trailer.
