F350 Diesel Should I buy??
Hello:
I have 3 F150's in the stable now, and I told my wife the only way I'd get rid of one is if I found a f250/f350 with a manual. Well, a local dealer has one and now I need to decide.
Here are the basics:
2006 Ford Super Duty F-350 SRW / Supercab 142" XLT 4WD
Engine: 6L 8-Cylinder Turbo
Transmission: Manual
Mileage: 43,290
The price is just under 28K, but what really attracts me is the low mileage for a 5 year old. the body is in good shape with few scratches.
I know little about diesels, and my wife and I are going to test drive this weekend is there anything I should look for?
Thanks.

i disagree. while the 6.0 has its flaws, most of them were fixed by 05. Also what motor has no flaws? none at all? While the 7.3 was a workhorse and all, they are almost a decade old...and i know I have only had my 6.0 a few months now but it is up to 90000 miles and still runs totally fine. I know there are several others on here with higher mileage who can say the same

I have a friend who has a 2005 6.0L supercab F250, He actually hasn't had a single problem from it and he's had it for a year. I mean they're great looking trucks, but like was said ^^^, beware of the 6.0. Do a history check for sure, it might have such low miles from being in the shop all the time?
