E-Bay F250 question

This V10 F250 is for sale on E-Bay and I see on one of there pictures it has a sticker that says Not for sale in states with California emissions.I was under the impression that all vhicles made these days were CA compatible. What would actually be missing from this truck for it not to pass. Thanks

maybe that specific model does not meet the requirements to be eligible to be for sale in california. im really not sure, if it was just in the post i would think some emissions had been removed. not my probly i live in houston where it is able to be sold

not sure exactly how CA emissions is, but go to your local inspection station and figure out the emission requirements. in TX if its over 8600 lbs it throws the emissions test into heavy duty mode which it doesn't matter if it can even check your emissions you will still pass that part of the test.

It means that you will not be able to get it smogged in California.

I realize that it won't be able to pass smog in CA but was interested to know what they actually change and why?

I can only speculate - the PCM has different calibrations. California requires separate certification. It may be more than that - Ford may not have bothered to certify that particular drivetrain combination - possibly axle ratio or something more obscure.
