07+ Front End Conversion on 03-06 Expedition ??

i was looking at an 08 Expedition the either day and noticed that the fenders look identical to the ones on the 03-06 Expeditions, i was wondering if the 07-10 front bumper, headlights, and grille are a direct bolt on ??? i know i could pic up those parts for under $500 i could probably do the whole conversion with under $1000, i just want to know if anything would have to be altered to make the 07+ front end fit..

the only problem i can think of right now is how to go from separate high and low beams to a dual high/low

^its been done.

its probabaly mostly bolt-on, but who knows, you may have to 'custom' fit a few things.

the separate hi/lo beams would be easy. just take off the wire that triggers the high beam and splice it into a new socket (9007 or whatever it is) and ground the other wire

try it

worst case, you have to go back to your original setup and sell it off.

you won't get stuck with them...if they are in good shape, they'll sell

i don't think ima do it mostly because i need the hood, and i know a new hood would cost a leg and an arm, and if you read the original post i said the fenders look identical

You need the hood, headlights, grille, bumper. You're fenders will work. You will need the header panel from 07+ to work. Sorry for late response.

I agree. Structurally the Expedition is still rolling on the same chassis and body, Ford just swapped front and rear ends.Ford is good about saving money. They reuse parts whenever they can. That is why they have not retooled and redesigned the Expedition since 1998.

And now would be time to do a custom hood if it is not included.
