The interceptor won't give you much with just a exta .10 in compression. With yours being a 97 I would do a PI conversion with some mild cams and a retune

I only figured interceptor model because my mom doesn't want much more power and the current engine is burning oil at 182K miles but still does good on gas and drives great (I wish we knew it burned oil when we first got it as we had the money then to rebuild it)

You could change the top end out to a 99-02 Heads intake ect. and gain about 20 hp. The Interceptor was more of a package like XLT, FX. It included the heavier duty 4r75w tranny shocks and belts and alt. Most interceptors are gonna have High mileage. You could get PI heads, intake ect. from a wrecking yard and rebuild the bottom end yourself. Interceptor does sound cooler but in reality not much more to them than a regular 4.6.

What I really wanted to do is get another expedition with the 4.6L drop its engine in our 97 then take the other expedition that I took the engine from and drop a Modular V10 3 valve, supercharged, backed behind a ZF-6 jack it up about 6 to 8 inches with some awesome 35s or 37s, using the sterling 10.5 from a super duty and the D60 front with coils, black paint with chrome stuff on it, and sweet sounding stereo and exhaust system on it but doubt I could ever do that. My mom would kill me if I got another project that has no reason and is that crazy so will have to do it down the road. LOL

Ok I have '97 expy with a 3 inch body lift looking to do a "leveling/lift kit". Seen some of you guys are running a 3/2" lift with torsion key and spacers on the springs. Just curious what brands/kits you guys recommend. Shocks?

Information on the suspension lift and/or body lift.

I have the same 2nd gen 2004 Ford Expy Eddie Bauer edition. I was thinking about lifting it and putting 35s on. I could use any useful information with which lift you installed (body or suspension) and any problems it gave you.

Thanks Justin

I'm looking at 35" tires and 18" rims.

Her is my 01, and 10. The 01 has the T bars adjusted, running 285s, the 10 is on stock 20s. Future plans are to ad Rancho quick lifts and run 285/17 like the 01.
