ABS light came on...

Quick question, the ABS light on my wife's 99 expo just came on. The expo has apx. 106,000 miles and is a 4x4. I know about the sensor on the top of the back axle, however, are there any more sensors relative to the ABS system I should know about. Any help would be greatly appriciated.....

There are also sensors on each front wheel.

Ohm out the rear diff sensor, replace if open. Good ones read around 1.2K.

Good timing for this thread. The light on my 02 has been coming on for a few weeks now. What is the downside to not fixing it right away aside from the incredibly annoying bright yellow light in the dash?

Uh. . . no ABS. . . So you are likely to lock up upon hard braking

I figured that much. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else. I can deal without ABS. I'll eventually fix it. Just not right now.

I would start by checking the level of your brake fluid.
