Hooking up an Ipod in a Navi

I'm a former lightning guy and new owner of a 2004 Navi, so like usual apologies if this question has been asked before. Is there a way to hook up an Ipod to the stock stereo? I see that there are headphones jacks on the back of the console but I can't seem to make it work with the auxillary button up front......any help would be appreaciated

no i'm not..........but a guy at an electronics store told me that should work but i'm skeptical since they're phonejacks and not an auxilary one? I couldn't see that work. I guess I just want to know if Ipods work on these stock stereos and how to hook one up.

Okay well heres my stereo on the top left corner it says "Cd Aux" so I push it

I hold it because on my 2008 Chevy I just hold it and it says "Aux In" but on the Expy it jsut goes straight to the CD

so I don't know... hopefully someone comes in here and helps

My Expy has an input jack right there in the dash below the radio.

I just read through the 04 navi manual, and, I don't see anything mentioned about an INPUT jack associated with your model. And, the goof at the store need not be giving advise if he thinks you can use the phonejacks to play an ipod.

You can however get in touch with crutchfield, and, they actually have an adapter you can get to use your ipod. I am not sure of your intentions, but, this will work. And if it were me, I am pretty sure the an aftermarket head unit would be cheaper and also be compatible. They will certainly help you out and won't steer you wrong. http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...08DP2US&tp=120
