01 Expedition, blown fuse, wont shift out of park

I've blown the 5 amp fuse, a few times, that is in the circuit for the brake interlock. This stops you from shifting out of park. Does anyone know why this is happening? It is a 2001 EB Expedition, 4WD.
Thanks
Paul

i don't know about the fuse thing, but almost the same thing happened to me, my expedition (look at signature) wouldn't switch out of park, but then i just switched it to 4 Wheel drive and it moved again, don't know if it'll work for you...

1. Your owner's manual has the work-around.

2. Replace the brake light switch.
