What size wheel?

Here it goes. We aqcuired a 2000 Expy XLT 4X4 a few months back. Now it needs new tires. I want to throw some 305/ 33's with some aftermarket wheels. Problem is i am not to sure how wide a wheel i should get 8,9,10. I would like to get a 16x 10 but it might rub. so i am thinking 17x9 with a slight neg offset would be a little safer. Currently the suspension is stock. I am probably going to get a 1" spacer for the rear and crank the t-bars a little.

So I am thinking the best bet would be 305/65r17 all terrains on a 17x9 wheel, with about 1" of lift. Do you guys think i will be ok with this setup? Also, i dont really care if alittle trimming is involved. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that would work. Personally, I'd go with a 16x10 inch wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing and a set of 305/70-16 (33x12.50) tires. You will have to trim some plastic off your front bumper's lower valance with a 10 inch wide wheel.

Thanks Wandell. Now is that with or without the 1" lift?
