hey guys been a while since i've posted here, but IM GETTING ANOTHER FORD SSOON hopefully (knock on wood) haha but anyways, back to the topic. I wanna get straight pipes on it, and I hear Meineke installs, but what do you guys reccomend.. is straight pipes illegal, cuz theyre loud as hell but i love they way they sound.
As far as I know they are not legal here in GA, but I have a buddy who is doing it and he said that the people doing all the work would put it all back on (muffer, catalic converter, etc.) when he needed an emissions test, for free.
nope straights arent legal, if your gonna do no cats and no mufflers its gonna be loud as hell and your illegal as all hell, but if you have cats and no mufflers you might can get away with it, i.e no tickets and pass inspection

i have had straights on my truck almost a year and havent had anyproblem with anything.
If i'm not mistaken, did you remove your rear cats also? I thought I saw something about that in the "Rear Cat Thread" in 2004+ section. If so I would definitely like to hear a video of that! Must be loud
yea i was so close to cutting them then ended up not doing it. i want to and will, but i still have a warrenty under my truck and that would be the first thing they would point out.

Yeah true, I cut my rear cats out and it sounds pretty good. Glad I did so. Took me and my buddy 2.5hrs. Look up my thread on the install if your interested.
