Resonated Exhaust Tip

Can anyone tell me anything about these? One place I've seen said they eliminate the high frequency noice from the exhaust and just leaves the rumble. Is this true?

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I'm new. I did a search and didn't see anything. Just got a new 2008 FX2 and fixin' to start the mods.

kinda expensive, but itll sound good if its a real resonated tip, but it is stainless so itll never rust, so itd be worth it, the borla tips are about 100 a piece, and are you gonna do one or 2 tips
