New dual exhaust 02 5.4L supercrew

I am looking to install an aftermarket dual exhaust on my 5.4L 2002 supercrew. I am looking for the best bang for the buck aftermarket exhaust system, even if that means having one custom made - that would benefit and compliment this truck.

I would like something deep and throaty but not real loud or with a lot of in cab resonance. Right now I feel the stock exhaust is holding the truck back and would like something that will let it flow better.

check the link in my sig for details on mine

It sounds real ballsy when you step on it, but it's quiet at idle and inside the cab

If you want to prevent interior resonance ( aka droning ) and not looking to be real loud, I would look into Magnaflow.

I have true dualed 11" bodies and like it alot, going to cut my rear cats out soon to louden it up more though. Barely hear it much inside, its just like stock, but outside is a heavy deep rich tone.

I would recommend Magnaflow hi-flow cats, 2.5" true duals X piped, 14" body rounds or 11" body Magnaflow mufflers, with tips straight out or side swept, with 4x18" tips.

If you would like I could run a search for all of these compounents for you, and depending on what the shop will charge for installing, your looking at $450 - $550 overall, but it will be worth it. I have $470 invested into my exhaust. Figure out what tips you want, and listen to some F150 sound clips on youtube.

If you want deep and throaty but not real loud, just replace your stock muffler with a 14" Magnaflow...

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the helpful replies! I took some time to listen to some of the youtube links posted and I must say I like what I hear. The full magnaflow setup sounds like a nice route to go and really isnt ridiculous price wise either. Best of all it dosent have a lot of in cab noise which I prefer over other configurations I have heard in the past.
