Well I have been doing some searching on this site. It looks like I will be purchasing a Roush off road cat back system.
I puchased a MBRP in July 08 and do not like the sound.
I wish I did more reseach on this site before I purchase the MBRP. looks like I wasted a lot of money for nothing with the MBRP.
I have read a ton of post here and it looks like there are only two cat back systems that are the best for our trucks (Magnaflow or Roush). In my opinion the Roush seems to be winning the race for first place.
I am going to try and sell my MBRP to regain some of my money back.
It looks like Woodhouse is still the best place to purchase the Roush off road. If anybody knows of a better or cheaper place please let me know.

Are you more comfortable buying a cat-back? Can I not persuade you into buying a muffler and tips and give a shop $100 to install and mandrel bend you tailpipes? It would be the cheapest route to go. $80 for a si/do 14" Magnaflow, and stainless polished tips average $30 - $55 each, thats about a $300 exhaust, vs a $500 cat-back ( The Roush is $500 shipped, $430 to buy, $70 shipped ) The Roush is a very good sounding cat back, but you can achieve the same results with a sound that would please you for a couple hundred less.
I don't think I know of a muffler shop around here that would be able to do this. I don't want a hack job. So it would be less headaches with a cat back system.
Thanks for the idea.

+1
Cat backs are like throwing money out your window!
Much cheaper to go to your local muffler shop and have them build you whatever ya want.

i have been nothing but happy with my magnaflow si-so system. all stainless and installed in an hr (including taking the old system off) good shops are hard to come by and for me i thought i was worth buying a catback

yea man you will save more money than you think just buying a muffler and tips instead of buying a catback exhaust, their wastes of money

X2.
And here in the Midwest (IA, salty winters), all shops carry stainless as an option.

I never asked my shop if they did, but i'm warrantied for quite awhile.

Should have it next week.
Could have bought a shorter muffler that would sound better, and add a tip to the existing tailpipe, for a hell of a lot less, like $200, but as long as your happy.

Yes, I could have.
Yes, I will be happy.
And, Yes, I understand that I could have just used a tip and a muffler.
You have chosen the red pill, I chose the blue.
