Headers 2

Okay so I'm back since the last one got closed. I just got caught up in all the post. I would really prefer to go with a long header system but by the sounds of thins they don't make them ? So you guys said you'd hook me up. Let's see t's guys do it. Also how hard are echaust manafolds to remove and how hard is it to put headers in ?

70-2227 is the Pacesetter number. Yes I know it says 5.4 4wd but they will fit, trust me. Amazon is a good deal $254. The collector is 3" OD so you will need a 3" ID cat to slip on or just have a shop reduce back down. Going from 4 cats to 2 is no biggie I had the shop install the o2 bung in the neck of the cat and have never thrown a code. Front o2 sensor extensions will be needed IIRC and a little modification of the EGR tube connection at the header as well. Or you could just buy bolt on shorties for the same total cost-ish.

The longtubes will help with power as said in the previous thread. Jbrew knows what he is talking about.

If you are turning 35s you should consider re-gearing to 4.56 gearing.

Yeah. I may consider to do that. But my echaust manafolds are getting rusty so I figured I'd change them out and when I do it why not add headers. It's not like it'll hurt me yanno ?

Go for a cheap priced longtube setup then. OBX. But be sure to use their gaskets and to get cats.
