Resest ECU after new exhaust= better MPGs??

In my ever quest to get every mile I can out of every drop of gas and make my truck as fuel efficient as it can possible be while being funtional for ME, do you think I'd gain anything by resetting the ECU by disconnecting the negative battery cable for about 20 minutes?

As most of you know I have a Magnaflow SIDO. I've been tracking my MPGs ever since I bought the truck. I got 13.1 city. Then I got 13.8 with 85%Highway. Then I got 14.9 with 70% highway after cleaning the Throttle body, cleaning the MAF, and resetting the ECU. Man I was getting happy....my MPGs were going up, up, up. Then the next tank I dropped to 14.5 with 85% highway. I dunno what happened. Now I have my Maggie exhaust and I'll see what this tank will be. It will most likely be 85% highway as well.

What do you guys think? I'm gonna wait until this tank is done before/if I decide to reset ECU---DirtySCREW

Resetting the computer will not change anything. Exhaust is full physics, no tuning at all involved. You can tune the computer for duals and such to burn more fuel, but thats about it, a battery reset will not change anything.

ok, thanks Darren...I won't waste my time then. I just didn't know if the computer would "re-learn" and say "hey, we've got a better free flowing exhaust" and that yield even better performance---DirtySCREW

Nope, that will just happen itself since its a better flowing setup.
