Do you keep your stock muffler

I will be putting on a new exhaust system in the very near future and was wondering if any of you guys keep your stock muffle? Is it right that we leave it with the muffler shop for them to turn around and sell it to someone else?

i think i left mine there. a stock muffler is pretty much worthless. all they will do is recycle it, not sell it to someone else.

I took mine home so it could sit in the garage for a year. I don't recommend this, it takes up a lot of room!

I left mine at the shop. I think it's the only part of my truck to just go to waste. That and maybe the stock intake, although that's sitting in a box somewhere.

Its not worth taking it back, though I took mine so my bud could put it in his dads GMC truck cause its exhaust rotted out & he was running about an open midpipe.

Mine came off 4 years ago. Had 120 miles on it. I'll sell it to you cheap!

I'll probably leave it at the shop.
It's been stored up underneath my truck these last 11 years.

Or I'll also sell it to you cheap, in about another five years!

I think we should put mine and yours together and sell them as a package deal.

Mines is probably melted down into something useful now. Can't say the same about my old 40 series.

i kept my whole system(uncut) off my previous truck..granted it was a v6 that i put duals on cuz i had money to burn..but now with this i robbed the mandrel bent tailpipes off of..got a section of straight and a y pipe and made my 04 duals for 40 bucks...and its mandrel the whole way..then put the stock back on the old truck and its my parents now..so it all worked out..idk i had space to burn to store it and it worked our for me i guess...this truck tho..if i ever get a free day its getting outta my driveway and into the scrap barrel..
