So, can i do this?

Ok, so like I mentioned before, im slightly disappointed with the outcome of my magnaflow cats. And after doing some research... I think i want to do this...

FYI, I have a SIDO super 40 and the magnaflow cats in place of the rear two cats.

Gut/Delete the front two cats and leave my magnaflow cats in the rear position like they are now, and relocate the o2 sensors to be after the magnaflow cats.

so bascially i want to leave everything the same way it is now, but just remove or gut the front cats and relocated the sensors on each side. So, this will basically be trading the stock 4 cats for 2 magnaflow highflows in the rear position.

Will that work out correctly? is there anything that i am not seeing?

thanks guys.

Remove the front converters. Do not gut them because you will be interrupting the velocity and will see a little bit of a low end energy loss.

Just a little something to be aware of......
When you remove the cats, any local/state/federal AQMD or law enforcement officer (includes fish & game wardens, most Ag staff) can impound the vehicle. They have condensed books that list & have pics of what emission controls devices should be on the vehicle and even have pics for the ricers on illegal engine swaps. Once the vehicle is impounded, only a judge will decide if the vehicle will be tagged as a gross polutor (meaning you have to go to a federal referee station for the rest of the trucks life for inspections) or it is going to the crusher- in addition to all the fines.

As the vehicle owner, you have nothing to say regarding this outcome- it is all decided by the Judge & state/federal prosecutor.

Well... that's all fine and dandy, but have you ever heard one without CATS?

You are supposed to replace all 4 with 2 high flows or remove the rear 2 and replace spot with pipe. Just the way I look at it.
