Help me find the right sound!

Ok, I can't seem to find the right sound I'm looking for. First off my truck is an 01 supercrew with the lightning engine, long tube headers, and high flow cats. My first muffler was a cherry bomb vortex which sounded good but not quite aggressive enough plus is was rusting out really badly. So this time after reading wonderful things about the dynomax bullet and talking to migdaddy i went with a single 18 inch 3"in and out. (my truck runs through true duals into one 3 inch single) I love how it sounds on his truck but on mine, i think because of the headers and high flow cats, it is SO raspy and loud it rattles my back window. It really doesn't have that powerful muscle tone that i want. Now my dad had prettymuch the exact truck I have but stock engine and cats with true duals all the way out with flo pro mufflers and it sounded really good. So anyone have any ideas what sound aggressive but not raspy? I know everyone has their own opinions on good sound but I just need some ideas.. thanks!

Sounds like you need a chambered muffler. Flowmaster 40! A Delta depending on how much cab noise you want.

There's one guy on this site that put a new 03 lightning engine in his 01 that sounds bad ass. I can't find it tho. He has vids posted somewhere of him on the dyno. Crap, I'll keep looking..

That'd be awesome I would like to hear it! it's kinda hard to tell what my truck will sound like listening to stock f150 with aftermarket exhausts. So i've been lookin at lightnings with aftermarket exhaust- I think that'll give me a better idea
