So last weekend I was coming back from a trip to the desert and started getting a weird sound the last leg home. Turns out I have a cracked exhaust manifold on the passenger side. Looks like this is somewhat common, as they only sell OEM passenger one in the aftermarket. So not wanting to replace this more then once I'm thinking on ordering headers. So my question is what's the best for a bolt on swap?
My current set up is.
5.4 Screw 3.73 L/S 2wd
K&N toss in
EDGE Evo (always on 2, tow on 3)
Gibson Exhaust
easiest to bolt on: shorties (very minimal gains)
PITA to bolt on: longtubes (with a custom tune, usual gains of 30/35)
prices for LTS range from 300-1200 depending on brand and quality.
Shorties are cheap, no more than 300. only shorties worth getting are Banks Torque Tubes.
