high flow cat pipe size 2.5? or 2.25?

purchase magnaflow p#990005hm, not on purpose, but i do have true duals exhaust they are 2.25, have a 5.4 triton. I hope this will be fine i read on alot of this forum about true duals and having 2.25 pipe for best performance

You'll be alright. As long as you not running anything thicker than 2.5", the 2.25" intermediate pipes will hold a good velocity to help aid low end power.

Back when I got my high-flows put on, regardless of 2.25" or 2.5" the inside of the cat was the same diameter.
