Its 72Andrews truck..and only a year older than mine, so I figured it should sound very close if I did Maggie Hi-cats like he did and the 14" muffler.

But Avfrogs Flowmaster sounds good too:

I want my exhaust to be quiet on the highway and be loud at WOT. Cruising around town I just a nice deep rumble. SO I guess I kinda want it in-between 72Andrews and AVfrogs---Help!!!-------DirtySCREW
Thanks DirtySCREW. Mine is relatively quiet going about 70. 45-60 has a deep growl to it. And running around town is my favorite! The deep rumble putting around town is what I like.

Buy the parts online and have a competent shop supply the pipes and weld it up. Case closed, problem solved.

Hi flows should tone down the interior noise of mine, but it will hurt the sound too!

Not really. It will still be loud, and actually be healthy outside the truck

Hey guys, I went to one of my last local shops today. I found out it was the guy that put my FM on my Yukon a few years back. He has opened his own business. He quoted $335 for a Magnaflow setup (SIDO). He was actually closed and I didn't want to bug him but I am gonna see what true duals would be x-piped. He did say that he'd sell me anything I wanted, but the hi-flow cats only gave maybe 10% better flow. HE said he has 245K miles on his factory cats on his truck. He also agreed that Magnaflow would be the best sound for what I'm wanting; loud at WOT, and quiet on the highway. And I know HE does good work!!!! What do ya'll think about the hi-flow cats?---DirtySCREW

Hi flows over stockers. I just have never been a huge fan of them. For sound and flow, no cats for me and tuned a must. Illegal yes, so be ware. But seriously, hi flows over stockers any day!

Here is a guy with X, hi flows, and super 44s
You can tell how much raspier it is than mine. Those hi flows don't sound bad at all.

I wish he had ran tailpipes and tips. I was hyped when he told me he was doing this then he says he had it dumped Sold his truck a couple months ago too, so i've still yet heard a Ford truck with hi-flows, 44s, and 4" tips.

Yea, I'd PREFER no cats...but I gotta stay legal. I may also call up there and just ask what their labor rate would be if I brought them everything. (Mufflers, hi-flow cats etc). Then I can compare all of my choices and try to save a few bucks. Granted my FM 50series was almost $300. I know the magnaflow is more cause its stainless....but I've seen the muffler for about $85. Tubing shouldn't be that much cause its NOT stainless tubing....but lets say $100....That's $185 in "parts"...and I guess $145 in labor. I guess thats not too bad----DirtySCREW

That was probably the raspiest setup I've heard in a very long time.
