Some general Q's about exhaust.

Ok, dont rag onme for this but I would like to learn what cat-back exhaust is. I always see people getting "cat back" exaust set-ups. Is this just purely exhaust from the cats back...lol hints the name or is it a performance upgrade more than just your typical exhuast set up? Just wondering I figured I would ask to make sure I order the right set up. And when I order it should I order the mufflers online and have a shop install them or have the shop order and install?

It is just an exhaust from your catalytic converters back. Most are mandrel bent tubes and come with a performance muffler.

You will get the parts cheaper if you buy them yourself and then get a shop to install it if you don't want the hassle.

just go to a muffler shop and tell them what you want, or buy mufflers/tips online

Correct, it is an entire kit that bolts in before the cats.
