Yea, everything if your not data logging. - Your Trans as well, the 70 or 100(or E4OD in the 98).

Shift points lol, those are adjusted in every tune. Your trans type is inside your drivers door.

Either 4r70w or E4OD if you have a 98 trans. I know you swapped engines w/98 5four (good choice! over a PI), is that EXPY a 98 as well?

E = E40D

I hear 4r70 is better to build up... I want to buy a spare and have it built for back-up... if this in original trans than it has 187k on it, and now with a 5.4 pushing it

I never heard that, doesn't mean it's not true. I know the E40D's/4R100's are Fords heavy duty trans and came stock in the Lightnings and Navigators. With the exception of a heavier tail shaft in the Lightnings and Diesels.

The names of transmissions are codes more less. Torque rating less one zero, so a 4R70w is 700 ft/lbs, a E4OD/4R100 is 1000 ft/lbs. The last letter is usually a designator of something, W is for Wide Ratio.

Not sure why you would want to build a trans that's lacking already, but there may be a reason ? - just haven't heard of one.

found your prob. i had dynomax super turbos on my truck. and i could hear the belt driving the pulleys over the exhuast. when i started it i could hear the starter spining down over the exhuast. Turbo style mufflers are very very quite. my super turbo *bench flowed* only 450 CFM. i hated them so i went and got Dyno max ultra flows welded they flowed 1,200 CFM on a bench and oh my what a diff. i highly recommend them.

stright threw but its a normal looking muffler. no raspyness keeps its tone. put it on my buddys expy with a 5.4 one night. he hated the raspyness of his super 44. my ultra flow was nice and deep.

wanna race? my 4.6 takes down my buddys expy with a 5.4 and we are mod for mod including a custom tune. his tune is for 93 too.

And yes i know what you mean bout 2nd gear 3,000+ thats when i walk on people. 1st is meh 2nd is were i go buh bye. 1st me and my buddys expy are even 2nd i walk a few trucks in front of him.

Tonight got my truck to bark the tires into 2nd frist time ever!!!

break in times usually are within 2,000 - 5,000 miles.
