The 22 inch case is the cause. The longer the muffler, the quieter.

It just has to be broken in.. I cannot see Hooker making a quiet muffler.. I know this is an Aerochamber, but its long case too....

the case is 22" long. you cant expect much from it. you needed to get one of their smaller ones. take it off, sell it on craigslist or ebay, and put a smaller one on. also, you cant compare any muffler on anything but an F150. that piece probably has no cats, and it sounds like poo

why not a Dynomax Bullet? No such thing as a quiet bullet, and you can have it Y piped at the end to run dual tails.

That sort of sounds like mine lol -

It's NOT that quiet and I hear my engine. Maybe you need a hearing aid ?

Yea, just get the sound you want and a tuner can dial your torque in over stock. More flow is always a winner, you just have to tune it in, - that's a must do

Once everything is dialed in right it will perform just right and require less fuel delivery to make power. If you getting say 14mpg average, you could go up to 15 - 16 or so, and a good jump on highway depending on tires.

Yep That's how it works. Your AF's and Trans tables. Thing is, if you purchased a 3 can set, then they all have to be tweaked.
