factory cats on 99 f150

i have heard cats can be recycled a at scrap yard for some pretty decent cash amount.. i was just wondering because i was needing moeny for an exhaust and figured what the hell why cant i take money from the old and stick it into the new ya know...

hmm ok, i was just wondering, thanx. if i run two high flow cats and put bungs for o2's before and after will that be fine and not throw any cel on my truck?

If the locations of the O2 bungs are the same on the 99+ as they are on the 97-98s you can have the shop cut out the cats but leave the sections of pipe that have the bungs in them. The cats I got had O2 bung already on them so the shop just put plugs in my existing ones. In hindsight I would not go with the cats that have the bungs, in order to get my pass side O2 sensor to reach they had to cut away part of the heat shield, now it rattles if you keep the rpms at 1300-1400.

As long as the last O2s are mounted after your new cats you will not get a CEL.
