ford lightning JLT Vs. JLP air intake system

ok guys just to find out once and for all.... what air intake is better for a ford lightning: a JLT air intake, or a Johnny Lightning Performance air intake??

the JLP (Johnny Lightning) and the chikenears are the better intake setups



the JLT is ok but the 2 mentioned above are the ones I'd go with if I was you



what mods are on the truck? when is the last time the intercooler core was cleaned?

no mods yet i just bought an entire 01 lightning drivetrain to swap into my 97 so i am just getting started but my first mod will be full bassani custom bent exhaust without cats and long tube headers then i'm not too sure from there...any suggestions?

ok, while it's apart go ahead and change the rods bearings, rings and gaskets... toss a 6#lower pulley on it, a larger heat exchanger or a killer chiller, single blade TB and have your upper plenium ported and polished




if your '97 is 4X4 consider selling the 4r100 and ECM to help offset the cost of the swap

ok will do thanks.. what am I looking at for hp gains and cost for all that?
and what do you think I can get for the motor+trans+ecu? willing to sell cheap. 4.6 motor (has 140k on it) and the trans is losing reverse
