edit-Ignore me, please.

Apparently late nights and school are killing my reading comprehension skills. Just noticed he said 4.2, not 4.6.

Since your cursed with the 4.2, I'd say stick with a SI/DO with either a Flowmaster or Flo-Pro muffler, stay away from straight through mufflers.

X2

If it were me, I would probably leave it stock and just weld on a nice tip.

They are just messing with ya bud A lot of people don't care for custom exhuasts on V6's. I'm not gonna lie, neither do I as nothing will ever replace the sound of a V8 with duals to me. But as we stated, I would HIGHLY recommened some sort of chambered muffler to sound less ricey and hold a stronger idle and deeper tone

To make a V6 sound good, put hi-flow cats or run no cats, and run a SI/DO Flowmaster 40, or Flowmaster Super 44, that i'll admit doesn't sound too bad.
