check it out. dumping it will be louder in the cab than outside. side exit will sound sick as ****, but drones a lot. out the back is loud outside with not much drone. your decision. the bullet is loud as it is. my 03 has 4 converters and is loud. your 04 with high flows with be louder than mine. so its your preference on what loud you want. let us know what you decide.

I'm not too positive because it would resonate in the cab overall at least my maggie does that under acceleration... It is loud in the whole cab. Droning I think would be the same thing. Careful with the muffler placement as well. Put it as far back as far (as close to the axel as possible) and that would reduce drone. If you put it far back near the axel, try the dump then as you said. You may like it. If you find it's too loud, I think it would be simple to mate a tailpipe and run it out the side.

Alright thanks guys. I think that doing it lightning style would be way too loud for me. I may do what truckguy said and dump it after the axle and see how I like it. I should be welding it on tomorrow.

Ok. So my friend came over and we decided that the bullet would be to loud for my truck. So we installed it on his 06 and dumped it. It sounds so awsome! Probably the deepest muffler ive heard. Thanks Guys for recommending that muffler!

So you basically decided to buy your friend a new muffler..? And your truck remains unchanged?

I'm looking forward to replacing my 11"s with Bullets this fall. Should be more satisfied with the volume and still keep the deep tone I love. MY bud will be happy to receive my broken in and hollow 11"s too.

Not anymore. My current exhaust is much louder than the Roush Off-road, probably equally comparable to the ROR with hi-flow converters, although the 2.25" tailpipes do help make a good sounding idle. Overall I am glad I went the route I did with my true dual.

Now someday possibly a few years from now when my intermediate pipe start rusting out, I will end up getting the Magnaflow 10778 Y pipe, running t-409 stainless 3" un-bent straight to probably a t-409 Super 44, and mating my current tailpipes to it. I'm able ti wash my tailpipes when I wash my truck but my intermediate pipes do not get that kind of love and care so they will go someday.

Sounds like a nice set-up man. I think I will keep my muffler but prolly get the hi-flows in the future. The quieter ones that is.
