Good choice. Here is the part # 12198 That has a 3" inlet and two 2.5" outlets.

Yay! Gotta love Magnaflow

Congrats on your decision guy! Be sure to make a vid, I have never heard one on our trucks, just on mustangs.

Yeah I know there is gonna be drone, but I did have my 44 dumped right under the passenger seat and it didnt bother me one bit. For a day I ran it with a strait pipe dumped with high flows and it WAS LOUD!! I liked the sound volume but I hated the tone. The way Darren put it was that this muffler would make it have a really deep tone with it being just slightly quiter than a strait pipe.

Yeah I can't wait! What is your opinion on dumping it with a tip, Dumping it without a tip, or coming out the stock location with a tip? Thanks

I say no dumping and exit it at the stock location. I just think it might give you a headache and it would project the sound better. More bada$$ sound outside and less head pounding outside. A SS rolled edge 3.5" or 4" x 12" tip would top it off nicely

dumping with and without a tip pretty much same thing. maybe a little tad louder with a bigger tip. coming out to the back 45 will be damn good sounding. out the side before tire is what i had and sounded like a mustang. i put it out the back 45 to cut down on drone and it deeped it up a bit, maybe a little louder outside. if u dont care about drone and want it to sound wicked then put it side exit. either way you do it the bullet sounds incredible

Where do I get the rolled ss tip, and what does ss mean other than supersport? I didn't think that dumping behind the axle and stock location would make that big of a difference.

You can order them off of summitracing.com It means Stainless steel. I would order a magnaflow one. Just browse the choices and make sure the inlet diameter is the same as your tailpipe. I thinjk it would make a differense actually. You are still dumping it under the truck, so you are sending the sound towrds the ground. The stock location projects it to the side so it can echo off of obstacles and is not as muffled sounding. I hate how dumped exhausts sound, but again, that's just my personal opinion.

DER! I cant believe I didnt think of that! Does it make that big of a loud difference if your on the passenger side vs the drivers side? Thats why I kind of want it dumped. Part of the reason im running it farthur back is because I hate how dumped right after the muffler has no sound after 2600 rpms. You guys think it would still be that loud in the cab even though im runnin it that far back if i dump it though?

It would be quieter than before the axel, but those bullets are loud and with hi-flows, idk if that's something I would want to risk. You can try it and then if you don't like it you could have it exit behind the rear tire. I would keep the pipe behind the passenger side if you went that route becuase out the drivers side would look a bit odd I think. IDK if I have ever seen that to be honest. You'd have to run it around the spare tire and out to the tire which requires more piping and probably more $$ because of the extra piping.

I dont think you understood what i meant. I meant like if i were sitting on the passenger side vs the driver side if there would be a loudness difference. As to another reason i would dump it right in the middle. I just want it to be heard not seen. You say that its not something you would want to risk. What do you mean like it might be too loud? Thanks
