Flowmaster Vs. MagnaFlow
well i have done a lot of reading on the site and watched a lot of videos on youtube...i still can't decide between flowmaster and magnaflow...i do know that i want a SI/DO system with stock Cats...I want a nice DEEP tone maybe with a slight gurgle (like an old muscle car) at idle, but i also do not want it to be overwhelmingly loud on the interior, what is the difference between the flowmaster original 40 and the super 44? and magnaflow, does shorter lenght mean louder? sorry for the multiple questions in one thread...any thoughts or suggestions?? (BTW,it's a 5.4L Screw 2008)

I would suggest a Super 44 Flowmaster. Magnaflows do not hold a heavy toned idle, and sound clear, not muscle car gurgly.
Original 40 is a two chamber 4x9.5x13 case with 1 huge baffle plate.
40 series Delta is a two chamber in a 5x8x13 case, with 3 baffle plates.
Super 44 is a 4x9.75x13 case with a 2 chamber style with two curved baffle plates. Its the deepest toned and aggressive sounding muffler they have made.

By the research that I HAVE DONE, some say that the HOOKER aerochambers sound like the flowmasters. I really don't agree but they do sound good. Hooker makes a Turbo and a Maximum flow. Check out the Hooker web site and you can hear them all. I could have gone back with 2 magnaflows and the X pipe and got the drone out. I have had that same problem before with the flowmaster DIDO and hat forgot about it before the install. That time I put 2 dynomaxs on. Still wasn't the mag sound. Check the hooker out. I don't think the aerochamber has been out long and it does have a totally different internal setup and is free flowing. Want cost you anything but time to look. GOOD LUCK WIT YOUR $$$$ SPENT.
