What part # cats do you have, and are O2 sensors mounted in them?

Hey I really like your set up. I have an 08 5.4 lariat; will these sizes work on my truck, or should I go with the 2.5"? Also I found the high flow cats(2), Mufflers(2), and the X-pipe online for $339 is this price about right and what should I do about the pipes?

Thanks guys,
Drew

Yeah, those sizes should work, they're universal mufflers, so all they need is an adapter. I've always been told if you're going with a true dual setup, you want to go with 2.25" piping. That price also sounds about right. I paid around $300 for all my parts + another $200 for piping and labor.

yeah I need to do that. My roommate just bought this new badass film camera and is all gung ho about making a short video for my truck, we just need to get around to filming and editing it. I'll talk to him and see if I can't get something by the end of the week.

Ok guys I called an exhaust installer in my are. He was telling me that the 14" mufflers were kinda long and would give me the same performance as the stock muffler. He told me that the flowmaster super 40 would sound just as good and increase performance much better and much cheaper than the magnaflow system that Cashel installed. What is your take on this? Will I see an increase in horsepower and gas mileage with this system?

Thanks,
Drew

Your installer has no idea what he's talking about. A Flowmaster will do very little if anything at all to increase performance. They sound good, that's it though.

To be honest though any exhaust setup, unless you do the whole thing(Intake, headers, cats...) isn't going to increase power or mileage by a whole lot. If you do want a good sound along with slight performance then go with a Magnaflow, Borla, Corsa, or Roush. Those are IMO the best sounding setups out there.

I agree, go with the Magnaflow. I had a Flowmaster on my truck before and I like the Magnaflow better.
