I'd go the oposite direction. Leave the cats in place and run no mufflers.

prob no muffler or a glass pack. But be for warned. gas engines need exhaust restriction. Without it you will loose all your bottom end

already have cats and no mufflers. its loud yea, sounds great but my buddy has no cats and two flowmasters i dont know what kind. and his blows mine away. i just know i want mufflers that are louder than his thats why i need to know the LOUDEST! if i cut the cats and run straight pipes will that not mess my engine up when i'm getting no back pressure? when i cut the muffler off like i'm running now i lost back pressure just by that?

i probably wouldn't do a glass pack. but i agree with wandell, leave the cats and ditch the mufflers. you'll get the noise level you are looking for.

It woulnt hurt the engine just hurt your performance big time. The loudest flowmaster they make is the race 20 series/ My 96 f350 460 has that w a highflow cat and she BARKS. loudest thing i've heard on the street!!!

The cherrybomb extreme, flowmaster 10 series or dynomax bullet. The cherrybomb and flowmaster are both single chamber mufflers

well with the exhaust its going to already be illegal so you might as well use glass packs or no mufflers.

I use to have the 40 series flowmaster and then i moved to the cherry bomb glass packs and now i have the flowmaster 10 series and it is the loudest muffler on the market. I guarantee you that it is what your friend had on his truck because they are just as loud as straight pipes and i only have 1. If you run too of the 10 series mufflers you will be very impressed.

Really!? How so? I just don't see how a muffler could be louder than a straight pipe... Are you sure it's not just the resonance of the muffler?
