Talking You gotta be kidding me!

I occasionally come over here in the hopes of one day seeing someone (Or some people) with Excursions, that have actually taken the time to dress it/them up a bit, and make it look nice.

I have seen one or two nice Excursions in Plano, both the White one, and the green one were sitting on 22" chromes, looking sweet, with theire billet grilles, etc... Now, that doesn't appeal to everybody, but it looks good to me. Heck, I'd like to see one with some wide tires on it, looking good. Anything but Stock....

This site is accessible to the entire USA, and I have yet to see some tight Pics on here...

Someone, please prove me wrong and post pix of your Excursions! Take pride in your ride!

I'm wondering if the demo on Excursion owners indicates an older or more conservative person than Expedition or F150 owners. That might explain the dearth of modded Excursions. I have yet to see one Excursion on the road driven by anyone under 40, or an Excursion modded beyond a set of mudflaps.

mrrottndog,
Very nice. How do you like the Kenne Bell on that V10? What kind of power did you pick up?

The guys I know all have Diesels in theirs, and I know how ANTI you guys are here about the diesels...Theres awicked one in Houston, that resides at Diesel Innovations...It is one bad Excursion..can you say 10 sec in the quarter, I know the owners and they are going to take it down to mid 9's as soon as it hits the track again...

I think the kenne bell is the best looking of the superchargers available for the V10. However, I'm running very lean and while it feels and is much stronger than stock, I'm not getting the kind of RWHP I expected. Bell says it's the headers. If you talk to bell or read any of his literature you'll find he blames everything short of 911 on headers. I have been reluctant to remove my Borla headers and put the OEM's back on.... But I think I'll give it a try just to see what the numbers are. I'll post the results when I do.

Man, that is awesome!!!

Nice truck-

Veeeeery nice truck!
Kenne Bell, not a bad way to spend $3,500.....

So, is there any truth to the 50% HP/Torque increase speculations???

I must have missed those anti-diesel posts. Most of what I have seen are "love to have the PSD, but couldn't really justify it" or seomthing along those lines.

Anyway, I think Paul probably hit the nail on the head that a lot of Excursion owners aren't really into the mod scene (or they don't have the $$ to throw at mods after the monthly Excursion payment!)

BTW - nice rig rottndog!

I don't disagree-

Yeah, maybe many of them aren't into mods, but I doubt if monthly payment has anything to do with it.

When I got my Expy, they had Excursions sitting right next to the Expy's, and they were $2,000 less than the Expy's....

So, payment-wise, Expy owners & sCursi owners are probably writing out similiarly sized checks...

I'm forking out over $600+ / month for my 2000.

Sometimes, I wish I'd gotten the Excursion. I didn't need a vahicle that big. Heck, I didn't need one as big as the Expy- but that's the thing about trucks. Once you get one, you always want to go bigger!!!

Mach1,

I notice you're in Spicewood. A friend lives and has a Marine shop there. He sent pics of mine today with new holes cut in the transom waiting for the heads to get finished so the engine can go back together.
