Maintenance?

They are no more costly to maintain than a V-8 other than there are 2 more spark plugs and coils, and they are a LOT easier and cheaper to maintain than a diesel. They are kinda rough on gas though, expect about 12 mpg average. If you need a big SUV that can tow a house, that's the one to get. If you are really lucky, it will have the 5 speed auto.

Not much in the way of maintenace. but be ready to feed this hungry beast. my friends dad has one with a 6" lift and 33's or 35's and it gets 6-7MPG no matter what. it got 12-15MPG with his wife driving it stock.
These things eat lots of fuel to try and move the 9,000lbs truck. but its a very good motor and it will tow a house down. as i said thoe be ready to feed it.
Ya the V-10s seem to have alot less cludder than any other motor. my 4.6L in my F150 has wires and hoses going EVERwere same with a 5.4 Expy but the V-10 in the Excursions seem to just have the 2 PCV lines the 10 COP the 10 injectors and the intake. i loved working under the hood of it lots of space.
