Best Shocks

Hello Everyone,

I was just wondering what everyone was using for shocks. We have a 2000 Excursion V-10 and there is about 92000 on the original shocks and it rides rough. We just got the vehicle and would like to get it riding better. Thanks in advance.

Well, I decided to go with the Rancho RS5000's. I'll let you all know how they are.

I've heard only good things about Bilstein so I bought Bilstein HD's. My brand new F-150 rode like garbage. It bounced around like a Cadillac and did kick outs on turns. The Bilsteins corrected that.

Rancho also seems to be a good brand that I've read good things about.

Bilstiens and Rancho 9000's seem to be 2 favorites. I'd be interested in how the non adjustable RS5000's do as well.

I'll let you know. I should have them on this weekend. I got the RS9000X's for my F-150 with the in cab kit. Would have liked to get them for the Excursion, but my wife didn't want that fancy of shocks.

Only received 2 of the 4 shocks since the others are coming from across the country. I replaced the front shocks and it only took 1 hr. I can't get over how easy it was to change them. Gotta love it when something is easier than planned.
