When are they stopping production of the Excursion?

Just like the title says. Might be in the market in the next few months and with gas prices the way they are, I might be able to find a great deal. Anyone know?

Late '05 early '06, that's when Ford is expected to have the retooling done to start production of the longer Expedition that's going to take it's place.

I think the cutoff date for ordering the 2005's was 5 August.

Now there's an educated response for you!

Why would you even reply with something like that? Did you read what you posted to see how it really sounds?

Love your ride! Can you help me with mine?

Family Ride: that is some sweet vehicle. I just got mine, 6.0L Eddie Bauer. I wanted the split bench, but it was not available, so I picked up a center seat and am ready to install. I removed the armrests from my captain chairs, but the seat has a 3/4" rod that extends from the seat (a "stop" for the armrest)that will interfere with the center seat armrest/seatback. How can that rod be removed? I can just cut it off, but I wanted to see if that is the only way.
Thanks for the pictures. I may have The DieselStop trick my ride too.

I've got the second row bench so I'm not much help.

I would however, like to add larger arm rests. One day when it feels like a priority!

I know we have some '05 Excursion diesels coming in this October. So who knows when the production stops?

I got the pin out by drilling a hole and taping treads so I can reattach easily and then I cut it off. I agree that the current armrests are too small for me. I like the center seat since it folds down for a giant armrest too. I also have a computer stand that I want to incorporate into the seat attachment so it is 'quick release' when the seat is in use. I also want to put one of the 3 person rear seats in the rear facing backwards, like in the old station wagons. It looks like I need to create the same anchor points as the 3rd seat in the floor. I am going to see if I can find a place here that can place those anchor points and then just drop in the seat.
I think I will get one of those water removal pet****s for the gas tank you have. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I think I'll have this one for a while, but I'll keep you in mind! So far it's been a great truck. Now if I can just get Superchips off their a$$ and get my tuner back to me. That's ther next change I'llbe making, SCT tuner so I can update the blasted thing myself and not wait 3-4 weeks for Superchips to get around to it while I'm paying to ship it back and forth! Plus I'll get customized programming and more power!
