Ford Excursion Rumor

The Ford excursion is said to be going out after 2004 and is if not on a way down hill run. What do yawll have to say about that? I love the excursion and would hate to see it go so please type back a reply, i would so like to know the answer without having to wait untill the day they retire it( sad day ) Does anybody read my last two posts here? Why has nobody responded to my 2006 Bronco posts?

I love the excursion as well, I am going to be getting the 250 diesel soon, but if the price is right on a excursion I might lean that way. I hope ford does not cave in to the mini van mom's/ expedition and give the new ex a irs they need to keep making real trucks

I have seen some shots of the 2005s but i do not not know if they are going to go into production in a large way. The excursion is criticed so much that ford may be trying to lighten the load of media critics. I agree with you on the fact that the excursion is no match for the big truck like Excursion but the expy is more fuel efficent and it does have its place as the mid sized SUV but not the full size. That my friend is the domain of the excursion

I very much disagree, unless you're comparing gasser to gasser.

My Excursion gets better MPG than my Expedition did and it's about 2000# heavier.

FYI, the Excursion is on the last lap. They may run it out at the begining of the 2006 MY, but the one that you see now, is the one that will go bye bye. The Extended Expedition will be on it's heals. The diesel in the expteded Expy is back on the table again and they feel they "will" be able to pull it off and meet the 2007 EPA requirments. So they say, so we'll see.......

My wife really likes her Excursion. She has owned it now for almost a year and has put 20K miles on it. Best mpg to date has been just shy of 20 over a tank full. We have replaced the two batteries and put a CPS sensor in it and that's it. The tranny is original which is pretty good for 124K miles.

If Ford drops the X it will really be a stupid move. I'll never own an Expy unless it's got a SFA and a diesel motor.
