Talking Guess I should post!

Well I took the plunge, so I guess I should migrate down one thread, although it's dead around here.

My first post in this forum as an official owner now!

NICE, congrads, how $$? I'm deciding between a 250, or that, or maybe another 150, but I REALLY want a 6.0! How do you like it?

Thanks.

So far I love it!!! Can't wait to get some "stuff" on. So far, it's now sitting on 285 Revo's and that's it. Of course it's only been 5 days

How $$$? Too much!!!!

Got started with SilverStars and Revo's and finally have some more hardware! Magnaflow exhaust is in the garage and i'm torn whether to have it installed this week or wait until after a road trip next week.

Fumoto is sitting here waiting for the first oil change and my Isspro gauges and under cubby pod are in a UPS truck (or train) on the way here.

I'll have to live with those for now.......

Ya, but that doesn't seem to be a very active board. And, it's been down since yesterday. TDS is definetly active.

They'll go through next year at least and will include some minor face lift itesm and 18" wheel options.

Those are great pictures, but why should I buy a Ford right now. I like how GM has the interior but I hate how the frame hangs below the truck on HD's.

The best reason? If you're in the market for a vehicle like this, then it's because GM, nor anyone else has a vehicle like the Excursion and with a diesel. 2500 Suburban is the closest thing but no diesel.

Just curious about your current gas mileage (mpg). My brother-in-law bought one used with the 7.3L. He gets 17 to 18 mpg. What are you getting so far??

At 1000 miles we made a 2000 mile road trip from North Texas to Colorado so we had our local 500-600 foot elevation where we got 18-19 MPG then into Colo with higher elevations and winter blend fuel and dropped to 16-17 or so. Overall the whoole trip was about 16.5 MPG hand calc'd.

My daily driving consists mainly of 3-5 mile short trips and local towing etc. and I get about 12-13 doing that.

Another shorter 500-600 mile roadtrip here in Texas got me overall about 17-18 MPG.

Hit 4800 miles today so we're still no where near broken in!
