Chip?
I purchased a chip and sc from Magna Charger and found no difference in shifting points at all. With the chip or with out the truck shifts at the exact same RPM shouldn’t the chip change the shift points? Also the trans shifts from first to second at 43mph but when cruising at 35 the truck will not down shift to 1st. I would think the trans should down shift to 1st from any speed up to 43mph any suggestions.

Hi bubbabridges,
Congratulations on your blower!
You're never going to be able to downshift back into first at speeds as high as the WOT (wide-open throttle) upshift point, automatics almost never have done that over the years. The downshift into first gear just by punching it (meaning not forcing it manually with the shift lever) will not happen at speeds over 25 mph in the V-8 F-150's, including the Lightnings by the way. Unless you request a custom program be done specifically for that, that isn't going to change. And, changing that can also cause problems with lowering the WOT upshift point sometimes, we've seen that happen on occasion, and that will require another adjustment if that happens of course.
With regards to the WOT upshift points, those should be set for maximum vehicle acceleration, and when a supercharger is installed, that is not automatically increased, as you usually don't improve actual acceleration times by revving it higher with a positive-displacement blower on the F-150, thanks to the increased torque you'll have after upshifting, you reach a point of diminishing returns as you continue up the rpm scale.
All of these are points that, ideally, need to be thought of and addressed *before* getting the custom program done for the supercharger, so as not to have a misunderstanding.
What I would suggest is going back to wherever you got that chip from, and talk with them in detail about these issues, and what they can do for you, and see how those conversations go first. You might find that this is all easily taken care of, and/or discover why some of this isn't what should really be done perhaps, while other parts are indeed viable and perhaps need changing, etc., just talk with them in detail and give them a chance to go over this with you, ok?
Good luck!
