i have a 97 f150 4x4 with a 4.6 romeo,motor is knocking and it is not the converters,pulled exhaust today,i have a motor avail,it is a 02-06 4.6 romeo 2v ,f or e motor, with 45,000 miles what will it take to use this motor,help

 

Yes the motor will fit if you have the intake off the '02 but the PCM will have to be tuned to compensate for the differences. The major difference will be in how the '02 reads coolant temperature. Do a search on "Cylinder Head Temperature sensor" for more details.
