I cant speak for any of the shelf brand cleaners but at my shop we have an injector cleaner that is made by a company called PETRO that has really done good by me and also the cars that I service. After tripping the inertia switch the can of the injector cleaner hooks up to the fuel rail by a regulated hose kit and the engine runs off of the cleaner till it empties. I have had very poor flowing injectors on the screen and after the service has been done reflow tested them and they have come back up to proper flow.

If you simply want to try something in the gas, toss some Techron or Seafoam in the tank. Otherwise pay the $65 for a shop cleaning with the machine like bubbyman describes.

My garage charges $101 for it and we use BGs crap... it really does actually clean out the injectors most of the time. Every now and then we'll get an injector that just needs to be replaced for one reason or another... but yeah, the pro stuff works... shelf stuff... can't really say either way.
