slow acceleration

hey, i have an 03 boss that had 3:55 gears and i went to 4:10. now for some reason from a stop when i floor it, it seems like it accelerates slow, it wont even brake torque anymore, unlike when i had my stock gears.. now i did have a custom diablo tune put in.. could the problem be too much fuel/ not enough fuel..please help id really appreciate it...thanks guys

What's "BOSS" about that 5.4 ??? Does it have a supercharger? What's different vrs. a regular 5.4L motor?

what size tires are you running? if any higher than a 35, should have went way higher gearing... Im running 5.13... But it is a semi built pre-runner..still though should have done at lest 4.30 if not 4.56

Thats to bad - I couldn't reply correctly without knowing whats been done to the motor - to be putting out those numbers - you don't have a normal 5.4L motor - Or your FULL OF SH^T!!!

Your reply doesn't help me to help you.

Not when you Bullsh^t..

Do you know for sure that you have 4:10 gears? Did you count the pinion teeth and the ring gear teeth? With 380hp you should be boiling the tires off the rims. Congrats on pissing off jbrew, he would have been alot more help on this thread than most including myself

All I can say is that I want that exhaust, tuner, and body kit if you think that your motor is pumping out those #'s with a regular 5.4L.

If you can't "brake torque" with those numbers you claim, I think it's time to throw the training wheels back on the bike......

Thumbs up

first off, dont call me a liar. you dont think i know a stock motor cant put those numbers out. when i was stock with minor bolts on i got 247/272.. after a few grand more... semi-built, damn near complete boltons, and a 150 shot, yep..that gave me the numbers.. i just wanted help with my truck and instead i got a few jack@sses calling me a liar..thanks for the help.. i do have 4:10s because i had my 3:55s replaced. and it does smoke em but i can feel it bog for a couple seconds like their wasnt enough fuel or something.. when i figure out how to get my dyno sheet on here and u see my numbers...then call me a liar

Wraped a little tight.

No one could help you from your first post. You have to give all the info to get the answer.
The bottle throws in a ton of more possibilities. Its cheap and easy to get some power but their is no replacement for displacement.

I personal dont know where to help you with this item since I never have used a bottle. Hope someone on line can help since you just blew most off.

damn dude even someone with the same truck as you thinks that was wrong. upgrade the throttle body and that should do the trick. you definitely got a problem somewhere there if you have mostly a built motor (taking for granted you do have ported heads etc and you aren't just talking about bolt ons)

no one knew what you were talking about and no one knew anything about your truck or motor
