i have a check engine light on, read code came up p1451!(aux. emission controls) what i believe to be the canister vent solenoid
valve(please correct me if im wrong)
my ? to all of the the well informed ford truck owners is my truck is a 1999 5.4 auto and i believe the canister is under the truck spare wheel area(please correct me if im wrong)does the solenoid valve and canister both need to be replaced or just the valve?, or maybe something with the wires or harness!! ANY AND ALL INFO ON THIS WOULD BE HELPFUL!! THANKS

Evaportion canister solenoid valve or wiring fault.
The system is specific about the problem.
Unless there is hardware damage, it should be the valve or the plugup/wiring.
