Converting Engine
Has any got any information on converting my 302 engine in my 96 F150 to a 351W engine. I would like to find a 351W engine out of a Lightening or something to put in my truck the 302 just dosen't have enough power.

You would probably get more answers in the pre1997 forum. It's towards the bottom of the page. I would imagine that you would need the computer, wiring harness and sensors etc.. There should be alot of mods out there to give a 302 some extra power though. Might be cheaper then swapping engines. good luck.

Well,I'd say modify the 302...But if you wanna put in a 351 So badly, I've done it. To go from the 302 to the 351W, You'll need a new CPU, Wiring harness, Sensors, And you'll also have to make rails for the air box to mount onto. Anways, Have fun, and If ya have any questions, Ask me!
