I have a '99 150 that the temp gauge has ceased to work. The gauge itself seems to be OK, so I thought I would attempt to check out the temp sensor and make sure there were no loose wires or such. I have a manual that says the temp sensor is on top of the intake manifold near the thermostat housing. ITS NOT THERE!!! I have looked in all likely places. The gauge worked before, so I know it has to be somewhere. Has anyone run into this. I can't beleive its so hard to find.

 

look down behind the power sterring pump on the manifold that runs from the water pump down along the bottom of the head...am I right Ford Techs?
