07 F150 Supercrew Guages pulsing

Got in my 07 f150 Supercrew this morning started the truck and noticed lights were a little dim and fuel/battery/tach gauges pulsing to the left for several seconds then started to register ok.

Could my battery be going dead. It is 5 years old. I'm not a mechanic by any means but could change the battery if necessary. Last oil change the battery was checked off as fine.

Most likely the battery, auto parts stores can test it for you. Most oil change places won't check the battery, unless you went to the dealer and even then they probably just checked it off on the list and didn't actually test it.

That's funny - my instrument cluster started doing the same thing yesterday. 8 yr old Optima battery in its second F150.

Probably the battery......after 2004 they seem to only have a 3-5 year life span....

I actually shot some distilled water into the battery. Works good as new for now.
